MiSA Model

Recently I have attended a workshop on "cross-cultural communications".There we had discussion on models for improved communications.MISA for better understanding and REHEAR for active listening.Here are brief descriptions of the two which can be utilized in our daily understandings of personal or work life situations.

The MiSA model provides a process for stepping back and analyzing situations to gain understanding by reflecting on our ladder of inference.

• Be Mindful
• Seprate the DIE:Description,Interpretation and Evaluation process
• Explore Alternative interpretations

For cultural interactions active listening practice:REHEAR can be very useful.

• Repeat
• Empathise
• Help with Questions
• Empty Mind to Focus
• Attend with Body Language and Tone
• Read Between the Lines

Happy Birthday Asbat

Today our son Asbat has celebrated his 11th birthday.He decided to celebrate it with his friends at Vienna Bilingual school,in McDonald's and later at home.we are prayerful to Allah(S.W.T) for his long life,health and prosperity.Aamen

Moinuddin Iqbal Kit no.84159(LQ) visited Vienna from Friday to Sunday.Moin has been one of our entry's best sportsman at Cadet College Petaro.Wasim reminded me of Usman Saeed and him playing great games against our house.I saw him after about 17 years.We had some good old memories of friends and college.I hope he enjoyed his stay in Vienna,me and Usman also invited him to visit us again before leaving to Pakistan after completion of his study visit to Germany.
